Aston Martin V12 - White over Red

As some of you may know, I have been a BMW person for years. I am lucky to have (and have worked hard to have) a well-paying job, and therefore am in a position where I could buy an exotic. Unfortunately, I also have a love of 3 pedals, and I live in a city which means having an exotic (and limited parking) results in a trade-off where I'd probably have to drive the exotic on errands. Not a deal killer, but something to consider, and one of the considerations that has until now kept me out of an F-car or the like.

Come to find out, a friend-of-a-friend with a 2012 V12 Vantage (white/red) finds himself in a position where he needs to sell it. Does anyone have any first hand info about these cars? It immediately appealed to me since it is a nice color combo, 6MT, and apparently has the optional back seats (for amputees, but still nice to have).

I've never driven one, but I say do it. I wish it wasn't white, but it is still sleek and if that's your color pull the trigger. After your purchase go buy a tux and call yourself Mr. Bond from here on out.

That's a silly suggestion - I already *own* a tux.

I too would prefer the Skyfall silver but I think there is something classic about white/red.

My cousin has a V8 Vantage. This is after going through 3 Porsches and a Maserati Gran Turismo. He loves the AM. I realize this is not the same thing, but the reason he loves it so much is that it is reliable fun and relatively quick. I would say the V12 would be just as great.

In a few words, a V12 Vantage is God's Chariot.

Thats how good I think that car is.

It is the GT to make all GTs look like garbage AND it still manages the sideways dance with a fury.

I'll add, I've done the V8, V8 S, V12 and the DBS.

The V12 Vantage is probably the best balanced car AM has ever put out. The V12 up front isn't encumbering and the smaller Vantage chassis really lends itself to be more lively.

The biggest downside is the god awful instrument panel and HVAC buttons. They are useless. But you probably don't care about such things.

White with a red interior is IMO the best color combo ever. And, if you can afford it, go for it. You will most likely regret it for the rest of your life.

Have you tried a 6MT? The gear shift lever looks really clunky - I assume it does not feel that way when you are driving the car?

Looks clunky, feels buttery smooth. Shifts are just bang on, they work.
